Beginner Outfit
Buying an outfit to begin your Flyfishing journey is a challenging prospect. We often have people come to us for a days guided fishing after spending $300 on a fly outfit at their local tackle shop, only to find that they just can't cast their rod, the spool keeps falling off, and that the line is rubbish. You do get what you pay for, and unfortunately, if you spend $300 on an outfit, it's going to be crap - $300 of wasted money.
Spend your money wisely...

You will need some floatant like Loon Lochsa to apply to your dry flies before you start fishing them, and ideally some Top Ride to dry out waterlogged flies (but that one come come later). A pair of nippers to trim your knots and you are ready to hit the water!
Obviously I have a shop full of things that are great to have, but the essentials on this page are all you need to start you off on your journey.
