Scott Centric rods are fit with Flor grade cork, new titanium stripping guides with super slick zirconia inserts, new low glare Snakebrand Universal snake guides, and a new fully milled reel seat featuring speed threads, easy grip knurling, self-indexing hoods, micarta inserts, a special Delrin lock washer, and type 3 flat black hard coat.
Centric rods are available in models ranging from 8.5’ to 10.0,’ in line weights 4 to 7. All Centric rods are 4 pieces and come in an embroidered cloth bag and premium aluminum rod tube.

Scott introduced the world to ultra-light weight unidirectional carbon fibre reinforcements over 15 years ago. Their Advanced Reinforced Carbon (ARC) adds directional stability and hoop strength while minimising additional weight.
Scott's new generation ARC is over 35% lighter and sets a new first in ultra-light multi-ply blank construction.
The result is even more torsional stability with substantially lighter weight. This helps your rod track better for greater loop control and pin point accuracy.

Centric features a new, fully-milled reel seat combining speed threads, easy grip knurling, and self-indexing hoods, so it’s just as easy to take off a reel as it is to put one on. A special Delrin lock washer (that cool red thing) insures rock solid seating to eliminate reel vibration and increase the transmission of what you feel—cast after cast— strike after strike.

Mil-Spec III anodise

Most reelseats are made with a glossy, thin, and easily marred type 2 anodise. Scratches in type 2 anodise expose the aluminum underneath, leading to worn finishes and potential for corrosion.
Scott's Mil-Spec III anodise penetrates the surface of the aluminum, creating the hardest, most durable, and most corrosion resistant finish available. Mil-Spec III prevents galvanic reactions with dissimilar metals and is resistant to temperatures above 900 degrees fahrenheit.
