Whilst the Winston PURE is a moderate actioned presentation style of rod, it is far more capable than that. It has the unique blend of feel, accuracy, delicacy, and is ideal for light nymph and dry fly applications.

I work hard and appreciate nice things. What brings me joy when I'm fishing is being able to cast an a beautiful loop upstream with very little effort. The PURE not only delivers this in spades, it is also a joy to use when fighting a fish, offering wonderful tippet protection.

Winston PURE Model Overview
Pure 2wt: The lightest, most delicate rod Winston make. Meant for happy-go-lucky streams, this rod perfectly casts microscopic dry flies on the lightest tippet, and bends to the butt section with the weight of a 7” trout.
Pure 3wt: An entire selection of fun rods designed for small stream fishing. From the ultra-short 6’6” version, to the extra reach of the 10, this wide variety of 3 weights will accommodate any small stream or extremely delicate presentation that an angler requires.
Pure 4wt: We carry five different models of 4wt PURE's in store so you can find the best fit for your needs!
Pure 5wt: Anglers that prefer a traditional progressive action for most of their trout fishing needs will love the 9' 5 weight Pure. There is plenty of room for a variety of fishing applications, from dry fly fishing on bigger rivers, to light nymphing and small streamers. If you’re a fan of Winston's older IM6 and WT models, the 5 weight PURE will provide the classic Winston feel in a taper that adds more accuracy and line control.
