We will be hosting a tour to Christmas Island (Kiritimati) from 21st-28th July 2021.
Christmas Island is the worlds largest coral atoll, and is part of the Republic of Kiribati. It is located in the middle of the Pacific ocean, approximately ½ way between Fiji & Hawaii.
Christmas Island has become one of the worlds premier sports fishing destinations, with its numerous Bonefish being the major draw card. Plenty of anglers also target its other exciting flats species such as GT's, triggerfish etc. Blue water fishing is also available, so tuna, wahoo, sailfish are also easily accessible.
Christmas Island is on every fly fishers bucket list, and for good reason. Our home for the week will be The Villages, which is limited to 16 guests. The pleasant air-conditioned bungalows. each with private bathrooms, comfortable beds and verandas with views of the bonefish flats. A full hot breakfast is served each morning before fishing and guests prepare a sandwich lunch of their choice from a small buffet each day. The lodge chef prepares delicious dinners combining South Seas Cuisine and western dishes.
Our trip is booked through Try on Fly, the Australian booking agent for The Villages.
